Making positive changes to improve your life can take time and a lot of work.

In fact, the time and effort it can take is often underestimated.

Dreaming of living a better more prosperous life with all the trappings of wealth, happiness and success is easy, but in order to give form to these thoughts they must be accompanied with inspired actions.

Unfortunately that’s where the majority of us come a cropper.

THE POWER OF INSPIRED ACTION

Imagine you wanted to start a new business.

You’d conceive the idea of what type of business you want to go into, draw up a business plan, set up the company, buy/rent premises, purchase tools/equipment, hire staff to do the tasks that you can’t do, and then finally start trading.

But if you got as far as purchasing tools and equipment and then sat around doing nothing waiting for the profits to magically flow through the door then you’d be waiting a very long time.

Starting the process of creating a better and improved life for yourself is exactly the same.

You need to be crystal clear on what you want (conceiving the idea), draw up a specific plan (set goals and objectives), and then take the necessary actions to turn all these dreams and desires into reality.

However, what the vast majority of us do is state the intentions that we want to change, but then take consistent actions which are contradictory to what we desire.

Why do we do this?

Well as humans we are creatures of habit.

The self-sabotaging beliefs and attitudes such as low self-worth, lack, struggle and fear that we’ve habitually held for years have now become our trusted companions.

And until we tackle and overcome these underlying problems, we will continually hamper our aspirations to make a positive change.

Is this something you can relate to?

Are you desperate to make changes to your life but always seem to be coming up against a brick wall?

Well here is a simple 3 step plan to help improve your life and transform your fortunes:

1. Identify and Remove Your Internal Blocks

Delaying or avoiding taking actions that will result in you making positive changes to improve your life, could suggest that you have some kind of limiting beliefs. Beliefs that you are not deserving of living a happier more satisfying life, or that life is supposed to be hard, difficult and a struggle.

Take some time to delve into your deep inner feelings. This time of reflection is a great way of unearthing some limiting beliefs, worries and fears that you didn’t even know existing within you.

A great way of doing this is to write them down or say them out loud.

An example of how you can kick this exercise off is by writing or saying something like “I’m afraid to become . . . , because. . .”

Once you uncover what these inhibiting beliefs and thoughts are, you can then use techniques that will help eradicate them from your mind completely

2. Devise a Clear Plan Of Action.

When people are looking to make positive change, many often struggle to come up with the correct actions they need to take for the change to occur.

By making a list of each specific and progressive step you need to take every day, this will then be your very own roadmap to the destination you’re heading toward.

Write down each step or action that will consistently move you closer to goal. And remember to review it every day to ensure you stay focused and on track.

3. Make The Right Disciplined Choices.

Any kind of change requires consistent and diligent choice-making.

If you decide to firstly lose and then maintain a healthy weight through exercising, then you will need to make the disciplined decision to show up in the gym on regular basis- week after week, month after month.

The same applies to making changes to improve your life.

Every moment of every day you need to take the right actions, have the right thoughts that will ensure you reach your desired destination. This obviously requires you to develop a deeper level of awareness, which in the beginning can be difficult, as you will regularly gravitate towards your old habitual beliefs and behaviors. But as with everything the more you practice the easier and better you become in doing this.

Remember that change takes time. Change is a journey. It takes effort, determination and focus. But the good thing is, it can be done.

We all have the power to choose…the power to choose what kind of life we want for ourselves. So make the right choices starting today to improve your life and begin enjoying all the trappings the world, our universe has to offer.
